Garfunkle's is such a hit and miss kind of place. Some locations seem to run a whole lot better than others. This one is definitely on the low end of the quality scale.

I had to have my fish and chips before I left London. Garfunkel was the place we went and had a comfy late night dinner. My serving was HUGE. I could not even finish the fish and all the chips that came along with the meal. It is after all just fish and chips so I did not have high expectations.

Our hotel was right near Paddington Station and so was this restaurant so it was hard to miss....more

This review is actually based on what happened 3 weeks prior to the 2012 London Olympics. The food was so terrible that we actually had to go and eat at a McDonald's close by, which was much better than Garfunkel's.

I ended up eating at this Garfunkel's during my most recent trip to London due to its convenient location to my hotel and Paddington Station. I admit, normally on a big trip I try to be a bit more adventurous about where I eat, and try to actually find somewhere other than the eatery that's attached to my hotel. I've eaten At Garfunkels before and the one near Kensington actually does a very good breakfast.

This particular outlet was absolutely terrible. Service was excrutiatingly slow.
