With delicately wrapped sushi; colourful and well decorated with spicy mayo, dip or spices sprinkled on top, as well as deliciously grilled meat and nicely seasoned seaweed on offer, there is very little not to like at Murakami. My first impressions of Murakami was pretty good. It had a beautiful modern Japanese feel to it with its medium oak wooden tables that reflected of a nice warm glow from the dimmed lighting. A live kitchen in the centre where you can see food getting prepared. It created a lovely relaxing atmosphere with the help of some green to relax the eyes from the real moss wall at the back.
I found this place when searching for Japanese places near Covent Garden. The space is really large and I LOVE the decor. It's hip, modern, and very fitting for an Asian fusion place. It does not serve the best quality sushi in London but it is a suitable restaurant for large group. The place is really large in space and they also do set menu that can cater for small and large group. With set menu it can make it easier to order for large groups.
