Soho House
Overview
Following a much publicised opening in 1995, Soho House became to the media loving nineties what the Groucho was to the eighties. Favoured by just about everyone from Hollywood A listers to the Brit movie pack plus every soap star, tv producer, movie director and media mover and shaker under the sun. There are a couple of cosy drawing rooms, a sunny roof terrace and an ultra space-age circular bar.

I'm confused by Soho Houses around the world, and this original location is no different, sadly. Despite the substandard food and appallingly bad service (our waiter repeatedly forgot drink orders, failed to bring the appetizers we ordered, and never apologized once for anything, though he did continually roll his eyes at us all evening), I always manage to have an ok time. Stay away from...more
Nice little private club directly across the street from the Prince Edward Theater. Disney Tours often rents out part of the upstairs restaurant for pre-theater dinner for its groups. Nice venue and reasonable food. Seemed like mostly Americans upstairs, and it was a fun place in a great locale.more
A great place to relax, have a nice drink, enjoy some good music, and meet some friendly people.
The Soho House has a varied group of people who come across as entirely friendly compared to other private clubs. You can come in dressed down or gussied up and nobody will bat an eye.
Comfortable little rooms and great staff makes me want to set up a mobile office and enjoy my day here.more
I like this place. Members only and not as crowded as other places in Soho. The DJ last night was shit....get someone new folks. The rest is great with lots of different spaces across multiple levels.more
Had a bottle of wine on the rooftop with blankets under the stars (and airplanes) haha. It was great. Crazy about photos being taken but I dont think its as celebrity driven as it use to be. I had two friends with me and dessert wasnt exaclty good but the bottle of wine really did the TRICK! the blankets we shared. it was so romantic. The lady waiter was funny and cute.more
