The Surya Centre has recently been fitted with solar panels and a social conscience. Embedded at the centre of the dance floor is a senosr which harnesses the energy of the clubbers frenetic moves and feeds it back into the grid, powering both the club and its neighboring buildings.

A fantastic music venue with an amazing ethos.
Club Surya is nightlife with a conscience. The entire club is, as quoted on their website 'The worlds first Ecological venue' and is the brainchild of a bloke called Andrew Charalambous.
There are solar panels on the roof, the taps are battery powered and there are paintings of cute pandas on the doors in the ladies.
This place is awesome....more
An actual eco-club, made out of recycled materials and powered by solar. They serve chili pepper beer too, which is amazing.more
