The Selfridges location on Oxford Street is the flagship location and it is gigantic! Selfridges claims to have been "voted the best department store in the world." They have a large number of designer boutiques in the store and they are known for their unique and ever-changing window displays. There is a large and varied food hall, in-store restaurants, and I was offered a glass of champagne...more
I can understand why they were voted best department store 3 times in a row. Exclusive products with great customer experience. The outside facade looks amazing too.
This is the shop I buy my shoes frommore
It's a sight to behold, one might even say a feast for your eyes. I purchased a few Christmas ornaments but mostly we were there as looky Lou's.
Each department is better the the next, the wine department was very cool and if I had more time I would have purchased the sampling card and had a few glasses of wine.
It's worth a look if you also know the history of Selfridge.more

Seriously -- what's NOT to love about Selfridges?! From the food halls with every type of cuisine you could ask for to the sprawling beauty section to the highest of high end designers - everything about this store is superb. The main thing I love about European department stores is how ornate they are in comparison to American ones and Selfridges does not disappoint in that respect.
