After walking around and looking at the shops at Camden Locks for a while, we decided to eat at Gilgamesh. It is very interesting because you need to take an elevator to the restaurant so it is all "upstairs." This is a moderately fancy restaurant that has a lot of seating. That is good when you need to seat 19 people. We beat the rush so it wasn't crowded. It took a while for us to get our...more
First of all, this place isn't a shisha place. It's a restaurant & it has a nice loungey bar called Ginger Martini.
This place actually serves proper Martinis. Half way drunk typing this. Also they have "2 for 1s" Mondays to Fridays from 5-7pm and Saturdays 5-6pm. It's worth the trip here. You can have a good for two fancy cocktail drinks @ £10.50. Look at my pictures to have a view of their...more

We went on a Monday night around sixish and were seated straight away.
As we were there using a voucher, we could only choose from a set menu, however we were given the main menu as well in case...more
Booked Gilgamesh through Open Table as there was a special deal - I have heard a lot about this famous & expensive restaurant, so thought this was ideal opportunity to try it at reduced price.
The decor is amazing - it's huge, so much space, beautiful asian decoration. Surprising place to find in the middle of Camden market.
The food was alright, just alright. Very disappointing as had...more

The service was a little on the slow side, but the drinks were spot on. The menu is huge in terms of food, but we just opted for drinks alone. I had the Ninsun...more
