Stumbled upon this place and immediately checked to see if there were yelp reviews. The greats reviews reassured me. It does look quite nice and there is an outdoor area - being a sunny day we took advantage of this.
Even though we had missed lunch, we were able to order 'snacks' which were all really delicious - the best choices were chicken quesadilla and the hummus and aubergine dips....more
We were walking by the canal when it stopped and found this place. The menu available was limited since it was the middle of the afternoon but we tried the chicken quesidillas (ordered a second batch), the hummus and aubergine dips with flat brea, fried pizza and all was delicious.

More a four and a half than a five but still very good.
Staff were nice and attentive, food was tasty. The lobster ravioli was delicious but moreso a starter size. The meet dishes were very good - steak & lamb.
Cocktails were great. Had the signature smoky... Something. Like an old fashioned and their take on a Manhattan.
Only thing lacking was the ambience oddly enough. Great look but...more
FREAKING AMAZING ! That's as good as it gets. We had dinner here waayyy too late and the staff was simply adorable. I asked if we could grab a bite (at 22:30) and rather than just giving us the bar's menu, the barman gave us the restaurant menu and asked us to just tell them if we wanted to have a full meal so that he could make the kitchen wait just for us.

I know this place is supposed to be a pub, but it's so not your average dunking hole. It's a beautiful cocktail bar disguised as a pub but you only need to step inside to see the truth.
The decor is polished and beautiful and the cocktail menu extensive with lots of choice. The bar staff are quite friendly but it's definitely the sort environment you'd expect in an upmarket speakeasy cocktail...more
