More understated than its siblings, this City branch of the energetic Barcelona Tapas chain still has the same cheerful ambience and appetising Spanish menu. The colourful interior, complete with giant Gaudi-style lizard, sets the mood for an aromatic parade of tapas and other Iberian dishes including Mediterranean prawns, deep-fried baby squid and homemade crema Catalana. Traditional drinks such as sangria and cava add to an extensive list of Spanish beverages.

If you are looking for food and a nice dining experience then do not go here. The tapas is average at best and the service is awful. However, the bar is quite nice and the beer is good.
It should be noted that it is a decent bar and if you want to stand, have a drink (maybe get some small tapas) and watch a Barca game then this may be your place. However for dining it is not so great.
This place was delicious! It's a little bit hard to find because the sign is small and you have to go down some stairs.
This is what we ordered to share between 2 people:
pitcher of sangria
pan amb touquet
tiger prawns in garlic and butter
Everything was on the salty side, so the pitcher of sangria definitely helped.
Sorry to burst everyone's enthusiastic bubble, but I don't get it. After the rave reviews, I was tremendously excited to taste my way through the diverse menu. Unfortunately, I found myself having to convince myself that something wasn't dry or overly salted more oft than not. By the end of the dinner, I was positive my £20 could have been better spent elsewhere. Where do I begin?
This place was just delicious. I went twice-
The tapas were just wonderful!
The first time I went I was blown away by the food- and the wine was just delicious- The last night I was in London we had a group dinner and ordered 30 tapas I swear and we were stuffed- but ate every bite.
It was great!

Don't be deceived by the outside which looks quiet but it is buzzing downstairs. I have been to Barcelona Tapas Bar on two occasions.
The first time we sat at some high stools next to the bar area at the bottom of the restaurant. We ordered just four dishes and that was enough for two.
We liked it so much that we went back a couple of weeks later with two friends. This time we sat at one of...more
