This East End market sells fruit, clothes and fabrics at knock-down prices. Situated on one of the oldest trade routes, Roman Road market is still going strong.

A good place if you want some cheap clothes which are supposedly from 'big' names (hmm, a likely story!!) Or some cheap jewellery, slippers, bedding, music, bric-a-brac etc. Good for picking up bits for fancy dress, but not so great for anything that will last. Still, good if you're on a tight budget.
My only qualm living so nearby is the market traders don't give a monkey's about littering....more
For a small markets in East London i was pleasantly surprised. It is GREAT for cheap clothing with lots of variety, known brands and also makeup. I live close so i usually go once a month for a quick look. If your in the area and have a couple of hours free on a saturday go and have a look.more
Following on from some of my recent market reviews, I thought I'd check out Roman Road.The number 8 bus dropped me off right at the mouth of the market... I have to say, I was expecting a lot of cheesy crap with a few good bits but was pleasantly surprised.
Overall, this is a great place to find cheap, on-trend clothing -- at the moment, tartan, leopard prints, and leather-look garments....more

Knock-off shop. Bling out. Dine in.
