So much in one Park!
The park is big enough to have get facilities and community without being too tourist.
They have a little zoo, a pond with swans, a paddle pool, a little restaurant (that's now been done up), a wood chop running track, picnic areas and wide open grassy areas.
They allow dogs, which is great for me. There are also nice little cafes across the road.
I used to frequent this park on a regularish basis while I had a bro-in law still living in London. I was there recently with my daughter on a nostalgic trip and it's still as lovely as I remember. There is a little animal farm on one side with various animals such as deer, birds and goats and a little pond full of ducks and moorhens etc.
There is a playground in which my children played...more
Clissold Park is my local park. And I love it.
I walk my dog here basically everyday and it's always well maintained and pretty and filled with nice people who are also walking their dogs. I like a lot.
It also has a little animal farm in the middle of it and you can see things like goats and deer and chickens and weird birds and it's all very lovely.
Also from time to time they do things...more
A lovely London park. Plus goats. I mean the goats shouldn't really be the main draw of a beautiful green space, with a children's pool and a really lovely manor house with cafe...but goats.
They're behind a fence in the animal area, just fyi. In case you were a little too excited about the idea of goats roaming free through London's parks.more
This park makes me life worth living! No seriously, it's so nice to know I have this gem of natural delights (deer, goats, chickens) a mere minute or two outside my front door. I can't imagine ever living anywhere else, and Clissold Park is a big factor in that.
The park itself is superb for jogging, picnics in the summer and a great detour en route to Stoke Newington from Highbury.
