I have mixed emotions about this cinema. On one hand, it's a big complex, quiet and comfy seats. On the other hand, it's expensive and difficult to get to unless you have a car. It reminds me of the cinemas in North America. Overall, nothing stood out for me. The place was almost too quiet as there was only a handful of people there to watch a movie on a Friday night.more
Best two things about this cinema:
1. It's cheaper than most others in the area.
2. It's quieter by far.
It won't win any awards for best cinema, the staff don't even serve with a smile but it's clean, close to where I live, not a bad size and it plays the latest films .more
The worst cinema in east London. It's so bad that TFL won't run buses there any more what does that tell you? I'd you have to go here do it on a day time during the week when the usual clientele will be busy lest where. The screens are tatty and a little old, staff do thier beat but it's an uphill struggle.
If you want to see a film of a Friday or Saturday night the screens will be packed...more
I really like Showcase cinema in Newham. When I was a student at UEL I would pop over after class and watch a movie. The entry was reasonable for London at around £5.75 (before 4pm) and the auditoriums are large with great screens and sound.
It is important to me that the popcorn, nachos and hot dogs are good quality. Showcase didn't let me down and the food was good.
With small inner city...more
