Popped into 1920 one night with some friends for "Aussie Night", which is simply a gathering of friends, some of whom happen to be Australian. Even better though was the opportunity to play "American" pool while at 1920... though I'm not really sure what non-American pool is.

I went here a couple of weeks ago to celebrate a friend's birthday. After some initial confusion they accepted so many party reservations only some of which were signposted we settled into a cosy corner in the basement.

Call me a boring old fogey, but I preferred the earlier part of the evening when the music was at a volume which made it possible to have a semi-meaningful conversation....more

This place has has pool tables on the ground floor visible from the street, but downstairs in the basement the place really comes into its own.

We went on a Friday night and there was a DJ providing the backing tracks for us to get down to some serious cocktail-guzzling.

After the post-work busy-ness, there was a but of a lull but by 11pm it was getting packed and there were more people...more
