I'm a bit torn on this one. We ordered two dishes - fried cod and scampi - and an order of chips. Figured we couldn't go wrong with that.

The cod was good. Borderline "very good". The batter was crisp, light, had a nice flavour, and more importantly remained fairly crisp even towards the end of the meal when it cooled down.

We love the food here and have been twice so far. We always get the same: cod, chips and mushy peas. The cod was cooked very well and the chips tasted like 'proper chippy chips'. The first time we went, the mushy peas were very different to normal and were too 'herby'. Omg! The perfectly fried fish!!!! No skimping out on gigantic piece of fish and they didn't overpower with the breading.

This is our go to fish joint. Helps that it's in our hood and have some delish chips too. Abigail approved!!more
