Stumbled on this nice little pub on my way back to the hotel, tucked away on a side street in posh Mayfair. Had a pint of Guinness for a reasonable price and sat by the open window. There was a sizable afterwork crowd standing around outside, no outdoor seating.

After a most pleasant afternoon sitting out in the rare British summer sunshine soaking in the rays, Jules led out merry band in search of some indoor drink and toilets!
Happily, the Iron Duke fulfilled both functions. The tennis was on the TV screen but we snagged some comfy chairs round the back of the pub for more chat. Drinks were reasonably priced and I just (but only just!) staved off...more
Nothing particularly amazing to look at, but smart and friendly inside. The beer is well-kept, the crowd pleasant, and the food really good.
Prices are reasonable for the location and it's a nice little oasis of peace to hide in when your wife is bankrupting you in New Bond Street.more
