Shoryu is one of the many new, high-quality ramen places taking over London in the wake of Wagamama's slowly fall from grace. Ramen is the undeniable focus here, along with steamed buns, and they do shine - the broth is thick, tasty and copious enough so you don't feel ripped off, and it won't hit your wallet too hard either.

All the Tonkotsu are worth going for, and you won't be disappointedmore

Not anything that stands out, but not anything bad either. Wouldn't come back since there was nothing that I can rave about but I did leave content.

The buns are ok but a lot of bun and hardly anything in the inside. Probably better to just source smaller buns.

The ramen was good enough and at the table you can add additional sauces in it. Not bad!

The first time I set foot in a Shoryu restaurant, I was worried that it wouldn't meet my expectations (as I had recently returned from Japan). But as soon as I walked in, there was the familiar smell that instantly reminded me of being in Japan.

Well I've been to other Shoryu's but I must say I don't rate the ramen that much. I'm not sure why but it's a bit salty or more bland than any other you would get at say a rival in area.

I do however love the sticks...the Wagyu yakitori especially. They seem do stuff like this much better. It's a pity though as ramen is in the name.more

So, there are times that I've been to places and they really suck. In those cases I either try them again (not likely) or I just don't write a review about them, because you never know- maybe they were having a rough day... ammiright? Just being fair.
