Attendant

About

Formerly a Victorian toilet, built around 1890 and mothballed in the 1960s, the Attendant was dormant for more than 50 years before being lovingly transformed into one of Europe's most unique espresso & food bar spaces.

After two-years' planning and restoration the old Attendant's office has been turned into a little kitchen and the original porcelain urinals have become an inspired coffee bench with green seating to match the original Victorian floor tiles.

Great Little Brunch Spot in Fitzrovia

Former Victorian toilet, what a charming place. They have left the sinks and toilet flushes up on the wall, love it. Friendly staff and for being a Sunday brunch peak-time we were surprised to get a table.

Short but sweet menu of brunch dishes. The menu changes regularly, so I'd love to come back for lunch & coffee one day - it's just a stone throw away...more

Unbelievably, this place really used to be a former toilet. Urinals still there but have been changed into tables, there is free wifi and the place is just incredibly unique. I haven't sat down inside as I have seen others do, but the coffee is incredible. If you're in the area, it is worth having a look even if you're not into coffee.more

blew my mind away. If I could combine the perfected smoothest, creaminess and richness of coffees you have ever had then this is the result of what is produced here. The coffee bean they use seem to have a slight sweet nuttiness in it that made it was insanely good. That texture and flavour was more pronounced in the flat white being warmer in temperature but the latte was more refreshing, not...more

Not the best if you get claustrophobic easily - Luckily I don't so of course I loved this place!

Another back street hidden treasure in London, this tiny but perfect coffee & brunch/lunch stop is downstairs in a converted public toilets (yup you read that right).

I'm a complete sucker for architecture and anywhere that reclaims heritage spots like this and puts them to good use gets a full...more

A very quirky and unique cafe but alas the staff were unfriendly and the food was tasteless. We entered the cafe in its unique setting a converted gents toilet , walked to the counter and started scouring the list of coffees and food . The waitress seemed agitated that we were taking our time to order ,we decided on a sweet corn and Sundried tomato salad and mushroom tart ,royal chicken...more
