Formerly a Victorian toilet, built around 1890 and mothballed in the 1960s, the Attendant was dormant for more than 50 years before being lovingly transformed into one of Europe's most unique espresso & food bar spaces.
After two-years' planning and restoration the old Attendant's office has been turned into a little kitchen and the original porcelain urinals have become an inspired coffee bench with green seating to match the original Victorian floor tiles.

Very good Flat White and nice staff. I don't know what I expected but it is small. It is perfectly formed but the seats on the side with proper tables are much better than the admittedly pretty stools in front of the serving bar for single seating. As you look on away from it all it does seem cramped there. That said its a short stop off to check out this most unique of coffee shops. Must be...more
A very quirky and unique cafe but alas the staff were unfriendly and the food was tasteless. We entered the cafe in its unique setting a converted gents toilet , walked to the counter and started scouring the list of coffees and food . The waitress seemed agitated that we were taking our time to order ,we decided on a sweet corn and Sundried tomato salad and mushroom tart ,royal chicken...more
Today was the day baby!
Not the day I adopted a giraffe named Sisco..Nor was it the day I gave up champagne .

Really nice cafe with good food, good coffee and a interesting interior.
Firstly you can't get past the fact that it's built inside an old toilet. If you can't come to terms with the idea of drinking your coffee snugly positioned within an old urinal, make sure you get one of the tables because it's still worth coming here. We ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs, and some kind of banana bread served with berries and some delicious homemade whipped cream. All of the...more
