Formerly a Victorian toilet, built around 1890 and mothballed in the 1960s, the Attendant was dormant for more than 50 years before being lovingly transformed into one of Europe's most unique espresso & food bar spaces.

After two-years' planning and restoration the old Attendant's office has been turned into a little kitchen and the original porcelain urinals have become an inspired coffee bench with green seating to match the original Victorian floor tiles.

The legends are true. This place is totally a toilet. And by that I mean it in the nicest possible way. Attendant was once a 1890's mens bathrooom, and it sill has the fiixtures to prove it.

Novelty aspects aside, I have really enjoyed my visits to Attendant. The staff know a lot about coffee. I had a lengthy chat about the beans he is using (from Caravan) and why he likes using them. There...more

Visited here while on vacation in London and after finding it (London needs some more street signs) immediately fell in love with this place.

The food and the staff were fantastic and if it hadn't been my last day in London I definitely would have returned for some more.more

-Unique location and design (Antique toilets! But very throughly cleaned and polished)

-GREAT music yet relaxed, chill vibe that's not too loud or overwhelming

-Excellent Australian-style coffee

-The most incredible weekend French Toast ever... (please never change...more

And that's just what someone did.

Granted, it's no longer a working bathroom. This old, underground bathroom has been converted into a one-room coffee shop, complete with seats and counters that...more
