A group of us went to the Doctors Orders night on a Friday to listen to The Nextmen and I really enjoyed the night. Upstairs and down the music was spot on even though it was banged out downstairs and somewhat like a mosh pit, honestly I'm suprised punches weren't thrown with the jostling that was going on. The second to last time i went to this club, you had foolish people spilling their drink and deciding that they will use their feet as human skis, to slide across the floor.. not good!...not good at all, especially when you are trying to dance.

A decent dance music club, which doesn't do much to stand out from the crowd.

Spread across two floors: a more down-tempo ground floor, which has quite cool decor, and a basement rave zone, where the bigger speakers and more banging music will tend to be. I used to love this place, especially on a thursday night, would get to listen to some great tunes, drum and bass.

This thursday full of kids listening to the most banal pop/RnB. Disappointing.

Staff were really nice and friendly.more

I didn't really know quite what to make of the East Village. It's housed in what was formerly the Medicine Bar and they've certainly spared no expense in doing it up. The interior is slick and shiny and even the toilets have a touch of class about them.
