Friendly pub. Good for a quick drink. Lots of tables dotted around the outside, always with pretty flowers or plant pots displayed on them. Good choice of lagers. Gets very busy being so close to Camden Town.more
Popped in for some dinner on a Tuesday afternoon (October 2012) after a trip to the London Zoo - while visiting London on holiday from America. Myself and my sister both had beef cheese burgers, although they tasted good after leaving The Spread Eagle we became violently ill with food poisoning. Not a good way to end our holiday!more
Nice little pub walking distance from Regent's Park with a friendly staff. My chicken sandwich was ok, more bread than anything else.more
Ok, short review:
It's cozy! There are little booth-y spots, and tables for two and corners tucked away for day drinking. I've never struggled to find a seat, which is so, so nice. Always bustling, never OMGGETMEOUTOFHERETOOMANYPEEPS.
The chips are a delight! (BONUS: can get 'frites'-style or chunky!)
The staff is warm and patient with my general boozy indecision!

Everynow and then I end up there for lunch, generally for a "treat yourself its Friday lunch"!
Fish finger sandwich is a delicious! Very indulgent but delicious! Fries are thin and crispy... They also offer variety of healthier options - with quinoa salads for example...
Price is a little inconsistent, fish finger sandwich for example is great value for money and reasonable for a lunch...more
