BC Battersea Rise (& Shine) is our first cafe down South and the baby of the bunch. So far, so good and as the new kids on the block we've felt that arriving on Battersea Rise has been like one big hug from SW11. The cafe is a beauty (even if we do say so ourselves) having taken inspiration from a 50's kitchen and an 80's launderette. Fancy a date with The King of Ladies Man? Ask a member of staff to take you behind the shutter and you might just get lucky...

Yum! Try the blueberry smoothie. It was delicious. I had scrambled eggs which was good. There are so many options for brunch really! I want to go back and try some other stuff.
The queue is a bit annoying so keep in mind you may need to wait for a while.
The atmosphere is cool and very vibrant. The music is loud so don't expect to be chilling out at this place!more
Go here expecting a queue, it is unavoidable, especially on Saturday or Sunday! The food is good, the service is friendly. The blueberry type smoothie was really good. If you are really hungry go for additional options, as I ordered eggs benedict and it wasn't all the filling. If you are in the area and have time to wait, then this would be a good option for you.more
I really liked it and I would definitely come back. The shabby style is cool and the light that comes in just great for a lingering morning.
Very friendly staff!
The cons: music a bit too loud for my morning taste (but that's me), the pancakes tasted a bit much of flour, maybe were not properly cooked.more
The food is quite average for a place you need to wait outside for 40 minutes on the average.
My partner had Benedict royale and I had the allamerican both dishes could have very easily been made at home with the same or similar taste.
We won't be coming back here.more
A line seemed to popped up literally out of nowhere at about 9:30-10am. I'd advise you to turn up earlier than this if you want to walk in for a table and have a wait of less than 10 minutes.
I tried the pancakes with bacon and found it to be alright but not amazing. This was due to most of the syrup ending up over the bacon rather than my pancakes making the bacon far too sweet for my liking...more
