Grain Store is really close to Kings Cross but still feels like a bit of a find, across canal and beside Central St Martins. It's open plan industrial with open kitchen, long bar opposite and a range of tables, cosy booths with sheepskin rug wall hangings and high tables. Stumbled upon this place on a busy friday after having a few too many drinks at the pub. They were quite busy, but managed to get a table within 5 minutes.

Nice, open kitchen view, you know your food is fresh when you can see it being cooked (no pressure for the chefs)

I really think this place has an outstanding brunch.

Gf and I went here on the last day of a 10-day europe trip spanning Paris, London, and Amsterdam and we thought it was the most creative and inspired (and delicious!) brunch of the trip.

It's great to see so many new places in this area - years ago when I used to take my stand up comedy classes around here, the best options used to be McDonalds and the noodle shop around the corner!

I've been here twice now and I really love the atmosphere. I get a feeling of nostalgia - reminding me of places in NY. Its also great to see a restaurant explore some great vegetarian options...more

I loved it! The brunch here was something else. I rarely give 5 stars to a place that make me rethink other 5 stars I've given.

Go here for brunch, sit outside, people watch, enjoy delicious food (I tried salmon with a scone and potato pancakes - yum!) and watch the weekend go by.
