I had a lovely Christmas meal here yesterday afternoon, a Sunday. This gastro pub is right at the very far end of the Northcote Road (be warned, it takes bloody ages (ok, like 20 minutes) to walk there from Clapham J, even more from Clapham Common (I learnt the hard way).

Although they use farm-fresh free range ingredients in their pub meals- the Bolingbroke is sadly an unremarkable experience. There is nothing terrible about the place but neither is their nothing remarkable to set it apart from the many pubs in the area.more
I was very pleasantly surprised by dinner here. The restaurant section is lovely and the menu is great. All of our food was delicious. I never would have thought to go, but my husband booked it for dinner and I think we'll be going back.more
There are many personalitles in Clapham, some I love and some can grate. The yummy mummy and sloaney soldier parade of Northcote Rd have made this very tasteful and upmarket pub/restaurant their own.
