In West Hampstead bars and restaurants come and go but Sirous looks set to go the distance. Alive with the sound of happy diners chatting and laughing as they share tapas and a drink or two, Sirous has the kind of sparkling atmosphere that comes only with the creation of a truly relaxed restaurant. Spacious and airy, opening out on to the bustling West End Lane, Sirous offers visitors the choice of relaxed, worn-in leather sofas or informal bistro style seating on which to while away a few hours in the company of seriously good Spanish cuisine. Colourful bowls of olives and sun dried tomatoes are joined by summery salads and paella the likes of which are rarely seen outside of Spain itself. In addition to Iberian favourites pasta dishes and full mains with that Mediterranean bent are also offered.

I thought i'd try this place as I live locally and there isn't any other spanish restaurants in the area so I thought why not!
The place has a very rustic decor with large leather sofas so you can come here with a group of friends and relax and enjoy the mellow latin atmosphere over a bottle of wine.
Sadly, that's where the latin experience ended for me. I ordered tapas. I like tapas a lot...more
After a few drinks at the pub on Hampstead High Street, we decided to satisfy our cravings for some Spanish tapas at Sirous in West Hampstead. We were pretty pleased when we arrived at the restaurant and were serenaded by some live and loud Spanish guitar. We sat down in some comfy red, Chesterfield couches in a lounge-like area. There was also the option of more formal seating with proper...more
This place is ok, but i've had much better tapas.
The restaurant has a nice feel and a nice ambience. The service is quite realaxed and friendly. However the food is very average. I've been here twice and was slightly disappointed on both occassions. My 2 visits were a long time ago and the food made such a little mark that I cant even remember what I ordered.
Can't say that I'd recommend...more
This tapas restaurant / bar is definitely one of the highlights of West End Lane. After a much-needed refurbishment a few years back it has gone from strength to strength, and is often full to bursting on weekend evenings in the summer.
The tapas Sirous serves are excellent. Good sized dishes, strong flavours (and not too much reliance on oils, thankfully), and with a bit more variation in...more
Sirous is friendly, local, unpretentious, with a big menu of simple, tasty, comfort food. Great Spanish tapas that aren't skimpy on the portions. Not cheap, but not overpriced.
The vibe is very relaxed here, never rushed or pressured. It was renovated a couple of years ago, having previously been an ordinary and generic Mediterranean-type eatery. Very comfy seats, too.more
