The new generation of Ponti's Italian Kitchen was established in 1963. The Ponti family originates from Piacenza in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, and are passionate and committed to the exceptional food of the region. Dishes are simply prepared using the freshest quality ingredients, with a generation's twist on traditional classics. Provenance is a key part of the menu, with several dishes denoted with the DOP logo, the official mark which certifies that the products are genuine speciality products from the region. So, the Parma Ham is from Parma and nowhere else. With two sites in London on Duke Street and John Prince's Street, Ponti's Italian Kitchen appeals to a broad clientele and serves food all day. From a cooked breakfast to afternoon tea and cakes, and late supper through to a great cocktail, the menu remains true to Ponti's Italian roots. Stylish and comfortable, Ponti's has a sixties-inspired interior design, with banquette seating and wooden chairs around tables of all sizes. Red walls are adorned with pictures of Pontis through the generations, alongside a variety of oils, pastas and vinegars for sale. The wood stone pizza oven adds a sense of excitement to the restaurant, further emphasised by the open kitchen. A lively and entertaining space with contemporary music in the background, Ponti's Italian Kitchen conveys all the best attributes of an Italian home - great fresh authentic food, warmth and fun.Ponti's Italian Kitchen is proud to receive the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence award 2012, for consistently achieving outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. We went for a late lunch last Saturday. The first impression of the place was good. The staff welcomed us with a big smile. As the restaurant wasn't too busy we had a choice of table. For Antipasti we had Bruschetta N'duja e Burrata (Spicy Italian sausage spread) and Grotto di Mare (Deep fried king prawns and squid). The Bruschetta is highly recommended, it was just the right amount of spice....more

We were given a specials and set menu but weren't told the set menu only started 2 hours later at 3pm. The food was still nice but portion sizes smaller and previous items like a lemon wedge with my chicken now...more

For being located one block from Regents and Oxford Street, I found Ponti's to be quite cozy, warm and welcoming.

I escaped the rain here on a Monday night after a day of shopping. The staff were all quite friendly and attentive. I still remember how much I loved the spinach and feta ravioli. So good. And it was here that I fell in love with Montepulciano (red wine).

I noticed they have...more
