Short and to the point for once, I've always discounted this place under the assumption it would be a grimy station pub... that couldn't be further from the truth!

I wouldn't say that they have the most amazing drinks and food, but they definitely punch above what I had expected.

It's actually quite nice inside (and clean!), and doesn't carry any of the station pub stigma that can come...more

The Parcel Yard is a disused parcel sorting office converted into a Fullers pub. For a station bar, it is probably one of the best there is. Set at the back of the station, mean that you would not just pass it.

I've rarely been so torn on deciding a rating.

The parcel yard is a station gem. For someone who has spent their formative years in New Street's dingey Shakespeare and Euston's pokey Doric Arch, the airy atrium, abundance of seating and decent beer choice were an unexpected breath of fresh air. Hidden away in the corner of Kings Cross Station is a Fullers Pub. It looks like a small generic station bar from the outside, but climb the stairs (or take the lift) and what opens before you is a craft beer bar of note.

I was astonished by The Parcel Yard! Tucked away in the corner of Kings Cross station this pub is deceptive, inside it has 2 huge floors, loads of seating and a great selection of ales. What was most surprising is how comfortably quiet and reasonably priced it is for a station!
