I love the Bull, it is one of my favorite local pubs here in lovely, leafy Highgate!
It's a gorgeous, historic pub reminiscent of a country pub, with a lovely garden to dine in and a beautiful dining area on the second floor.

Lovely evening meal on the patio. Excellent service from Weronika for our party of four. We enjoyed tuna carpaccio, super crunchy duck (fat) chips, tender tasty lamb sirloin, mackerel salad (much nicer than it sounds!), and a juicy beef burger.
So, starters and main courses were fine.
But, we will not bother again with desserts - too long and too ordinary and no raspberries!more
The Bull is a good balance between pub and gastropub. They brew their own beer (London Brewing Company) which is pretty good, 8.5/10. Good rotation of well chosen guest ales. Fabulous beer made in their own facility as well as wonderful food. It's a place I will come often. In winter it's cozy and in summer they have a lovely garden. It's a must go to in Highgate.more
I'm a pub roast sceptic. My stance, in general, is that roasts are one of the few meals that are insurpassably better when they are homemade. Slithers of meat accompanied by stodgy potatoes and a heap of wet veg, drizzled lightly in thin gravy, as if it were a salad dressing? No thanks.
The Bull is the first pub *ever* to make me rethink this.
