The food was decent but the service and environment was stressful! The waiter forced us to order an extra tapas dish. I ordered fried plantains and shrimp but had to order a third dish so I ordered the chips. My friend ordered pork belly and plaintains. Good old-fashioned Peruvian food with a modern, and dare I say, deliciously-healthy twist.

The prices may be a little steep for some people looking for a simple breakfast or brunch, but the quality is worth it, and really, check out the area this place is in. I've loved this place for a few years having eaten some of the best food in the world there, but tonight was the first time I took a visiting American, my husband and my 11yo daughter.

Our reservation was found immediately (pre-booking is critical) and we were led to a table in the front next to the bar. Although loud, the bar is a fun and lively place to sit and enjoy people watching.

As a veggie, sitting next to the kitchen is always a sad revelation that you'd rather be oblivious to.

Deep fryer used for veg/chips and meat(or seafood?), as is the grill, used for octopus, meats and veggie burger buns.

It angers me, this sort of thing should really be mentioned on menu, seeing as veggie/gluten free stuffs is very clearly labeled.

Another little corner place I've walked past on a number of occasions and made a mental note to go back to.
