Kalamaras

About

Established in 1966, Kalamaras is hidden down a quiet mews just off Queensway and was made famous by the Beatles, Peter Sellers and many other icons of that age. The tradition of excellent food and great service continues as the restaurant won a 2013 Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Kalamaras serves authentic and healthy Greek Mediterranean food: hot and cold starters, soups, salads, grilled meat & fish dishes, stews and desserts, and Mezze set menus. Many of the dishes are cooked on the charcoal grill. The restaurant is fully licensed and serves a wide range of Greek wines.

Authentic Taste - absolutely.

Would I eat here again - more than likely.

This restaurant was no different then walking into a Greek Taverna in Athens except the only difference was it was in the heart of Bayswater London.

The food menu was extensive and at times I felt I was spoilt by...more

OK. The place was well decorated. The food was nice, especially the dessert. The service was not so caring, you had to call them if we we're run out of water. . .

You get though the Greek taste.

Tip: get the retsina!more

The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance. It's located down an alley so you probably wouldn't stumble upon it. (For this reason, the...more
