Yes, it hit the spot! Their Happy Hour was very very reasonable.
Highlights: Drinks were cheap and well made. I had a Manhattan and it was very good. We came on Tuesday night so it was dead and empty, just the way I like it.more
Last year I started having a stall at Spitalfields market once a month. 6 months on the 2nd Friday of the month I'm still trading and also stuffing my face with the takeaway offerings from Smiths.
Breakfast is always the bacon roll with ketchup and a tea. This is my treat once I've set up my stall. I love bacon, it's thick, juicy and cooked to perfection. Always the right amount of ketchup...more
Smiths of Spitalfields could be so much better...
For example, the milkshakes could be bigger (though they are pretty tasty) and they could bring back the chocolate martini they used to do - that was awesome but it's not on the menu anymore!
The area has a lot of footfall at all times so Smiths is naturally pretty busy, weekends or weekdays. It just doesn't really deserve to be that...more
I've eaten at Smiths in Smithfield a number of times, however today I managed to grab breakfast (or more really brunch considering the time!) at Smiths in Spitalfield Market.
Had the legendary Breakfast Number 2. As ever, it was flavoursome and really yummy. It really is a great way to set yourself up for the day, and isn't badly priced!

As I commented to the two people who I was sitting with, I never come to Spitalfields Market with food in mind. It's always, there for the market, hungry, guess I'll go get good at one of these stalls!
Maybe that's why there's been such a crazy turnaround at the space with Smith's is now. They can't seem to hold a restaurant in place in the space.
Shame too, as it's a pretty location. Giant...more
