Five Guys

Five Guys has been a Washington DC favourite since 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell offered sage advice to the four young Murrell brothers: "Start a business or go to college".

Under the guidance of Jerry and Janie, the Murrell family served only hand-formed burgers cooked to perfection on a grill along with fresh-cut fries cooked in pure peanut oil.

Now, more than 20 years after Five Guys first opened, there are over 1,000 outlets. Five Guys continues to receive media attention and has grown a cult-like following around the world.

The service is always great here, when it's super busy the cashiers work really hard to process customers, so that are not as chatty as normally. Don't let that put you off, they are lovely peeps... you'll find them really chatty when the restaurant isn't so busy.more

The burger was pretty good and the chips were super nice (huge portion, would probably share next time), there's also a cool drinks machine (and free refills which is cool).

I did really like the burger although it would not be my favourite and I found it pretty expensive for...more
