The place looks great -- that gets one star. Had shrimp and calamari -- SO MUCH SALT, batter, and oil. But what about the cappuccino you say? They added sugar WITHOUT ASKING. What??? Who does that? No thank youmore

Happenstance means coincidence and frankly, it seems a coincidence that this place is still open! I've been twice and our first trip was so appalling I wrote to the manager to express my extreme dissatisfaction and was invited back by The Happenstance so they could show my boyfriend and I that they could do customer service. I had a lovely birthday dinner at the happenstance this weekend! We booked the private dining room and Rhiannon and the events team took care of everything - even place cards with preprinted orders! Our waiter for the evening was Antonello and he was wonderful, friendly and very accommodating! All ambience, no substance. Came here for Sunday brunch. Beautiful and trendy space as per the usual with the D&M restaurant collection. I want all their furniture in my living room. Decent crowd at noon, mostly tourists and families.
