We went there for brunch/lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was busy, but we were still able to get a table right away (which is good, because most places in this area are full on weekends).

Tom's Kitchen serves a simple hearty British food in a pleasant informal setting. One of the restaurants is located about 8 minutes away from Canary Wharf tube station.
Nothing sophisticated, all honest and enjoyable: turnip and horseradish soup, smoked salmon with beetroot, chicken pie (yum!), venison casserole, plum tart. Specials board always pleasantly surprises with new dishes.
Although our recent trip to London involved a lot of family fun, our initial reason for the trip was due to a competition win via the Stylist/Emerald Street magazine - which, alongside the hotel stay, included dinner at Tom's Kitchen.

I visited Tom's Kitchen thinking it was a prime candidate for entry into my weekend breakfast rota, but I came away slightly disappointed.
There's nothing wrong with Tom's Kitchen per say. The interior is spacious, modern, and clean. The service was quick and pleasant, and the food was good. The problem with Tom's is that it's all just a little too sterile.
