This place was totally delicious. We came here for brunch around 11:00 and there were still a couple tables available for people who didn't have resos.
We ordered two dishes: 1) heritage tomatoes, rooftop honey, fresh curd, sunflower seed and 2) smoked trout, guinness soda bread, creme fraiche, radish, and a side order of sourdough bread, smashed avocado and a poached egg.
The Dairy is tricky for me to judge as it is clear that the food is prepared with consideration for taste, texture and presentation, and the staff are also dedicated, but unfortunately having been twice I am not quite as impressed as I expect to be.
The servings are small (like tapas) and the contents good yet leave me yearning for more. Each dish does look innovative and interesting yet...more
I went there a few weeks ago with my BF.
He chose the tasting menu and I went for their vegetarian option.
It was nice but we were not super impressed. Our excitement decreased as dishes arrived. Maybe we had really high expectations (my BF's best friend used to be head chef at Joel robuchon London and is now working in their Bangkok restaurant and his food is probably the best we've ever...more
Contradicting is the word I'd use!
I've been wanting to try The Dairy for a long while. We came for lunch before Christmas and the set lunch menu is decent, pick 4 dishes for £25 per person.
