Contemporary and exciting, Epsom Downs’ Amani restaurant is a million miles away from the average Indian dining room. Situated on the leafy Fir Tree Road amongst the beautiful and large homes of the discerning locals, Amani is popular with a crowd who know good food when they taste it. Overseen by an Executive Chef – Rajeev Kumar – who prides himself on his uniquely innovative and creative approach to cookery, developed during his time spent in five star hotel kitchens in India and in the famous Cinnamon Club of central London. The menu is concise and easy to navigate, having more in common with European a la carte menus, and features interesting and different dishes with their roots very firmly in the regional cuisine of India. Amani’s wonderful food is accompanied by high quality front of house from a team led by co-owner and manager Azad Miah, providing friendly and professional service.

It is a struggle to find good Indian, in fact good anything in Epsom when it comes to eating out. So this place is pretty refreshing.

They have meat platters that are delicious, with the usual chicken tikka, lamb chops and chicken breast meat. The other mains are good, I would say standard indian.

A favourite local Indian restaurant or mine with a contemporary twist. Try the a la carte menu which changes on the season, they also serve your favourite Anglo Indian dishes too! A hidden gem, what Le Raj used to be 10 years ago & won't break the bank.more
