The concept behind this restaurant is an upscale Southwest American kitchen featuring flavours from states like Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico. The menu pairs vibrant flavours with the best of the UK's local and seasonal ingredients. We are excited about taking a rustic homestyle dish and turning it on its head.

While flavours pull from outside the UK, the ingredients are decidedly British and locally sourced. The Lockhart is dedicated to making use of Britain's vast array of high quality, seasonal ingredients.

Place is nice and the stuff very warm and friendly, which is rare in London.

The food is good, but not so great to convince me to come back, especially for the bill: it's one of those places where you definitely feel like paying the rent!

To attract more is suggest much larger portions and a bit more stuff on the menu (what about a southern American huge burger??).more

Lunch/brunch at Lockhart today proved a real winner! They hold true to their southern American roots, with rustic, clean spaces, an eclectic mix of floral crockery and the waitstaff decked out in double denim ensembles!

My posh and snobby friend Sachin took us here a few months ago. Sach, if you're reading this, you aren't actually posh. I am just saying that to sound like I know someone cool. Instead it's just you.

Truth is, I'm an American and I know nothing about what it takes to be posh. But I do know what it takes to make American food and I am pretty sure that this place tries to do this.

Went here for brunch last weekend, and I was pleasantly surprised by the laid-back, hate-to-say-it-but "Brooklyn" vibe. Judging from the pictures, I thought it'd be a bit more stuffy, and I wore a tweed jacket accordingly.
