The concept behind this restaurant is an upscale Southwest American kitchen featuring flavours from states like Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico. The menu pairs vibrant flavours with the best of the UK's local and seasonal ingredients. We are excited about taking a rustic homestyle dish and turning it on its head.
While flavours pull from outside the UK, the ingredients are decidedly British and locally sourced. The Lockhart is dedicated to making use of Britain's vast array of high quality, seasonal ingredients.

I'm quite torn about this place. Not about whether or not to return - I'm sure I will - but about the rating. I almost want to give it 3 stars because my meal was only alright, but I'll give it 4 stars because everyone else's meal was so good.
The service, first of all, was great. The staff were lovely, gave great recommendations, and were all around working to provide a really pleasant...more

We also order the sticky bun which was...more

New Orleans flair with an excellent hand in balanced flavours. By evidence of Instagram photos we knew it would be a mistake to skip on the made-to-order cornbread which is no doubt a huge selling point to most guests....more
Lunch/brunch at Lockhart today proved a real winner! They hold true to their southern American roots, with rustic, clean spaces, an eclectic mix of floral crockery and the waitstaff decked out in double denim ensembles!
Menu included classics like biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. Cocktails are slightly expensive, averaging around £9 each, and my lady Lockhart was...more
It's all about the chicken for me. If you read my profile, you'll see that my Yelp secret is that I love KFC
I've discovered that one of my favourite types of chicken is American buttermilk fried chicken, the best example of which so far is at Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc restaurant fried chicken nights on alternative Mondays
So, my eyebrows raised when I read Giles Coren's recent review of The...more
