One of the highest high teas in the kingdom. Immaculate service, an amazing variety of teas, excellent pastries and savory snacks. The scones clotted cream and jam were top notch.

The ambiance is opulent but not over the top like Dubai or Vegas.

Excellent service - not snooty or sniffy.

Went for afternoon tea, like everyone mention you pay for the nice fancy decor.

Service was lacking so I have to take -1 star for that, tea was not refilled promptly, our initial server seem to have left us 1/2 way thru the meal.

Food items are typical given UK are not known for much good food.more

The basic set is £38, with more pricier options including champagne. The tea room is at the hotel's restaurant, the Apsleys, a very elegant dining room with a high glass ceiling. The service was attentive and not snooty. A pianist provides a nice musical...more

Pristine with high ceilings, Apsley is the perfect place to take a lady posse. Mummy M was in town, and I decided to treat her to a true English experience.

We opted for the basic £38.00 service, which came with a mango mousse starter, tea, sandwiches consisting of cucumber, ham and cheese, egg salad, chocolate pastries, fruit tarts, mini onion quiche, and scones. Service was a bit busy so...more
