Located on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane and awarded a Michelin star, Galvin at Windows Restaurant and Bar has become one of the most talked about restaurants since opening in May 2006. Together with Head Chef Andre Garrett, Chef Patron Chris Galvin has successfully created seasonally inspired menus based around modern French haute cuisine. Renowned for its peerless views over the capital, including iconic sites such as Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, Galvin at Windows has become a destination restaurant itself, sought to enjoy a romantic evening, host a business meeting or just to impress one’s company. The restaurant is open for lunch Sunday to Friday and dinner Monday to Saturday.

Set on the top floor of the Hilton Park Lane Galvin at Windows of course offers some stunning views of London. I have always have a level of suspicion towards places that have nice views, outdoor terraces etc as it more often than not means that they get their customers even if the food is not good. Galvin at Windows do however clearly also focus on the food.

There were compliments from chief at the start and end of our dinner, waiters were doting on us, they really made us feel special. And...more
For dining or drinks with a view it doesn't get much better than this!
We went for early evening drinks with a few bubbles thrown in. We had a booth reserved by the huge window and the view was spectacular - the service was even better, our waitress was so attentive and made sure that our champagne glasses were never less than half full!

I had a wonderful meal here from the set lunch menu. It is a pretty fancy place, but as it's quite a large and busy restaurant the hubbub guves it a more casual relaxed feel. The artichoke starter was possibly my favourite starter of all time! And the kimchi risotto was really special too. Also experienced the wonder of yoghurt and dill sorbet with a rich chocolate fondant.

I ended up paying £40 for the menu as I think there are other restaurants serving similar quality food in that price bracket at the pre-theatre time slot, such as its...more
