Surrey Quays Odeon is my time away from reality. 2 hours of a mind numbing movie watching experience. Obviously it works really well for me because I just roll out of my apartment into a theater seat. I can imagine it would work rather well for people living around Canada Water/Rotherhithe because the SQLP complex is rather well served by buses and is a quick walk from Surrey Quays and Canada...more
Really rubbish. Cinema tickets are extortionate (over £10 when I went on a Friday night). Bags were searched for any outside food products upon entering. At a minimum I'd expect it to be clean. Instead we were faced with a very gross sticky floor. Oh and now you get charged £1 for 3D glasses, so make sure you bring your own from your last visit! On what seems like a busy night, there will only be two people selling tickets and queues get large. Fortunately, most of the people in the queue seem unable to use the very convenient and fast debit card ticket machines.
There will be 2 people selling the hot 'food' at the 9 vending points and getting served will take at least 10 minutes. The 'beechwood smoked for extra flavour' hotdogs...more
