I stumbled in to the Tea House quite by accident as I strolled through Covent Gardens. As a tea lover, I was intrigued at the quaintness of the exterior. Once inside however, my eyes were simply overwhelmed (in a good way) at the selection of teas, tea accessories, and all things tea related.

I have to say I agree completely with Patty L's comments about the way the teas are packaged. I am always wary when I go into a tea shop and everything is in clear cellophane. Especially when getting home and discovering that the bags were not air sealed, just folded over several times and clamped with a large twist tie.

What a great tea shop. They had everything we (group of four) were looking for, plus of course a whole lot more. I spent a good hour smelling the different blends, comparison shopping, before buying a small bag of one of their jasmine teas.
My one complaint is that a lot of their samples smelled old and dusty, which obviously makes it difficult to judge the aroma.more

Anything that one can imagine having to do with tea is here. I can't even remember how much I spent, but it was all verrry much worth it.more
This place sells all kinds of tea known, but its not cheap stuff. If you like some strange herbal teas, this is probably the only place to get them fresh. it also makes for a very posh looking present from Covent Garden.
More than the tea though, I like the mugs and teapots! You can get specialised cups with a seperate strainer and a lid for brewing fresh tea for one, and still keeping it...more
