The Eventim Apollo, formerly known as the HMV Apollo and Hammersmith Apollo, is place I frequent a few times a year to go to gigs.
It's one of my preferred gig venues in London, most recently I watched D'Angelo perform and it was fantastic. The sound quality is always brilliant there.

The hubby and I saw Standup for Shelter at the Apollo last night. We laughed a lot. I even cried because I laughed so hard. Ah, I love times like those.
Hammersmith Apollo, now known as Eventim Apollo, is large and in charge. The size of this venue is so deceiving from the exterior. Who knew such a large theatre existed, literally, a few feet from Hammersmith station?

Great venue, came here to see a recording of Live at the Apollo. Throughly enjoyed myself, had great seats and the acts were really good. Spotted a few celebrities as well, would definately come back. The location is great and very accessible.more
I've visited the Apollo three times in three decades. Once as a teen in the 90s watching catchphrase comedy TV sketch show the Fast Show. 'Suits you sir'. I remember thinking how large the venue was, and how tiny they all looked on the stage.

This place is deceptively large, and thank God too, because it houses some of the best acts in London but in an intimate setting.
We were here to see Jon Richarson this time but I've also been here to see Dara O'Briain a couple of years ago too and both times, it didn't disappoint.
