Great location as it's really easy to get to from Hammersmith station. We went to see Derren Brown and we were in the stalls but near the back. It's sloped a bit so I had no trouble seeing, even though I'm 5ft so often find it difficult to see over people in the theatre.
The only problem we had with the Apollo was that it was unbearably hot. People were fanning themselves with their...more
James Arthur had a sold out concert here and I got a ticket! Yay
I wouldn't call the Hammersmith Apollo the best venue for concerts ever... There is no real standing area and concert with so many seats to me just doesn't seem right. My favourite venue in London for gigs! Saw J.Cole here on 1st December 2013. Entry was quick and efficient, no crazy queues for the bar, cloakroom or toilets, great view of the stage wherever you stand (in the stalls), sound is great, the venue is nice and clean.
Easy access from Hammersmith station through the Broadway Shopping Centre. Always happy to go to gigs here!more
Saw Lana Del Ray here on May 20th.
She was fab and so was the venue. Entry was quick and efficient, we barely queued. Sound was pretty good, stage was of decent size and we had a great view of it.
Drinks are typical London prices - 4.50 or 5 for a pint of beer. Sorry I can't recall details.
Anyhow, 5 stars.more
I saw Louie CK at the Hammersmith Apollo and it was amazing. Just a man and a stage and I couldn't have been happier.
Comedians on stage will really show you the power of a good theatre. There's no special effects or noise to distract. Basically it comes down to how's the sound and can you see. Yes and yes.
The acoustics were fantastic. I was way up in the back and it sounded great. I could...more
