Light, delicate cod (you can choose haddock, too) beautifully coated in a crispy batter that definitely was NOT fried in old oil so the fish shined elegantly with the acidity of the malt vinegar (or with the light creamy tartar sauce that did not overpower)

Sorry not sorry, but this rating is entirely based upon service. We walked into this cute little place expecting to enjoy a British beer and some classic British food, but ended up entirely ignored. And yet, they nail it for sure. A classic, quaint, delicious spot for a meal.
