Indeed not many movie theatres can compete - comfy chair you can literally curl up in. You feel at home but it's actually much nicer than most of your homes... you can nip to the bar anytime for drinks and it's a great excuse for a big bowl of candy... so big they ended up in my coat pocket providing me with a treat everytime i put it on for the next week.
Really can't fault the place.

I don't think I can return to your average, run-of-the-mill cinema after Everyman. This is cinema for grown-ups! You can watch a film without a child kicking the back of your chair or throwing popcorn about the place and you can get drinks and bar snacks served right to your seat. Brilliant!
A great place to come with a date as the double-seats mean you can snuggle up to that special someone....more
Easiest review ever. Amazing venue, terrible service.
For those who don't know, the Everyman theater group allow customers to order food (they have their own deli) and drink (wine, beer, coffee) while lounging on a sofa and enjoying a flick. This particular venue has plush leather sofas with large flat arm for resting food and drink on. It's all very cosy and how a film is meant to be...more
I absolutely LOVE the Everyman. I frequently go to my local Hampstead cinema, but this time we thought we would try out the Belsize Park location. The Belsize location only had one theatre, but was so lovely. The sitting area in the front is wonderful and the menu is great, as always with tons of options. The experiences I've had at the Everyman had have made me only want to go to see movies...more
Recently went to see Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland at the Everyman Cinema in Belsize Park. Having only vaguely heard about the venue I didn't have too many expectations, besides a smallish screen.
I'm glad to say i thoroughly impressed with what I discovered. The screen and room are a good size and the reclining chairs are a treat.
