I wouldn't describe myself as a clubber but I was lucky enough to see Mr Scruff perform a 4+ hour set here and it was a faith-restoring moment.

Plastic People is a small club, with a capacity of just 200. The space inside is very roughly divided into three spaces: a dance floor in the dark next to the DJ, a space next to the bar with a few seats to aid chilling out, and a space by the stairs...more

If you're looking to get your face melted off by some amazing DJ's this is the place to be. You'll have your person, wallet, bag, and toupee searched on the way in since they have (allegedly) had issue with people and drugs here in the past, but you'll feel that much safer when you get inside. You walk down a dark staircase in to what can only be described as dubstep hell. Black room with small bar and even smaller selection of drinks. Into another even darker room is the...more

Plastic People is one of my favorite clubs in London. They typically do the 'one in, one out' system once the club fills up so I'd recommend going early. If tickets are on the door, buy drinks from the off license a few doors down, and make friends in line. The venue itself is small and intimate, and the women's bathrooms are always clean! Most importantly, the sound is incredible.
