A good old Sammy Smiths pub with oodles of character. Actually it was Huddy H who first took me here with her cousin and they were telling me how her mum use to drink there as a girl. Now that was pretty cool!

cheep as chips and lots of fun ... always end up getting a little bit drunk ( if there is such a thing as a little bit drunk) on Alpine... at just over £2 a pint that cant be bad ! Gets a bit busy Thurs and Friday but that adds to the charm!more

Fantastic pub! I might say that I would travel from afar to this fair watering hole... but I don't have to so ha.

This Samuel Smith's joint doesn't at all cultivate a 'chain' feel. Enjoy the (very affordable) selection of beers on tap, friendly staff and cosy 'English pub' atmosphere.

It's not obvious, but you can use the name for jokes if you want. Beyond that, this is a Samuel Smith's Pub, which means that despite its cool independent ambiance it features only Samuel Smith's on tap/cask; interestingly, almost entirely beers which are not bottled for American export.
