For all its hype and supposed mantle of being the best place for steak, I was rather bemused at how underwhelming I found Hawksmoor. I really enjoyed my meal here. I started with the steak tartare that was served up with a perfectly cooked yolk. The yolk brought richness that complimented the steak and capers. For my main I had the chateaubriand which paired well with the bernaise sauce. I also added a side of bone marrow, which was so tasty. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding, which was the perfect end to the meal.more

I never like going out for roasts because I always feel like what you can make at home is just as good. This is the exception to my rule.
