I absolutely loved this place. Great value for money and great food! I had a pre-theatre menu.
-Starter: Caesar salad. This was okay. Not great though.
-Main: Steak with baked sweet potato on the side. This was one of the best steaks I have had. Very tasty! The sweet potato was amazing as well!
-Dessert: Peanut butter shortbread. This maybe competes with the steak as the best part of...more
After having been to the top 35 steak houses in Chicago as well as great ones in New York, Seattle and Las Vegas as well as some decent ones in San Francisco I was not expecting to be impressed with Hawksmoor. I really enjoyed my meal here. I started with the steak tartare that was served up with a perfectly cooked yolk. The yolk brought richness that complimented the steak and capers. For my main I had the chateaubriand which paired well with the bernaise sauce. I also added a side of bone marrow, which was so tasty. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding, which was the perfect end to the meal.more
