Located on London’s bustling Tottenham Court Road, Lal Qila is a brilliant Indian restaurant located right near the Warren Street tube station in Bloomsbury that is popular with a fun after-work crowd along with museum goers, pre-theatre diners, UCL academics and students. Lal Qila has all the signs of a much-loved neighbourhood Indian – smiley customers, regulars who know their orders off my heart, and a relaxed, cosy dining room. The portions here are generous, and curry-loving Bloomsbury-ites all love Lal Qila’s delicious recipes, friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. Serving up favourite dishes alongside unique seafood recipes and house specialties, Lal Qila is a relaxed and intimate place for meals with loved ones and colleagues.

While visiting London and searching for dinner, we stopped in. Compared to most Indian food we can get in the states this was far above what we can get. The price was a bit high for the amount of food.more
Pretty thoroughly underwhelming Indian food.
The portions were a bit small, and the curries were innocuous. The tandoori paneer starter and fluffy, pillow-like naan were certainly the high points. Everything else, well, I don't even remember much of it, and my meal was only 2 days ago.
