Beautiful ambiance, comfortable and really friendly staff.
Really enjoyed the large outdoor area with heaters and greenery.
Only had a beer and a starter - but thoroughly enjoyed both.

The third pub that I go to in the area and all is o.k. here. I always find it a bit dark but that is the only negative I can think of, other than that is all works and is very much a local's pub that is hall way between gastro and traditional pub. Large wooden tables and chairs with loads of candles and a big warm fire make this place the sort that you might pop into for a couple and end up...more
Whenever I'm back home I usually head to The Thatched for dinner. I have always had good food there and the wine list is always interesting. Good service and a nice ambient atmosphere!! A lot better food than the nearby Olive Tree!more
Lovely big wood tables and candlelit ambiance. Ok wine list. Nice selection of vegetarian dinners. Stay away from the deserts, I beg of you! they leave so much to be desired.more
This place has undergone a massive refurbishment and what was a really nice pub is now an amazing pub. The outdoor area is lovely, I can verify the lamb burger is fantastic and the bar tenders are super nice. This is my work local, and much cheaper than its competitor down the street.more
