Was a lovely afternoon with friends as we were visiting from the US. We wanted to experience some tea and made a reservation for the Oscar Wilde room at Hotel Cafe Royal. The sandwiches were quite boring and bland, and the desserts were more for show than for taste. I HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere for high tea, as this was not worth the 45 pound price tag. Afternoon tea for 3 please with champagne.

The afternoon tea was lovely but forgettable. The staff were lovely and informative and attentive. The decor was amazing but the food was left to be desired.

The sandwiches were a bit boring and the deserts were the same. The scones were delicious and warm and the clotted cream as always is good. Unfortunately the desserts were a bit forgettable....more

Thought id mention that.

Anyway, I came here for their new alice and wonderland themed menu and well, i cant say i left missing my front hairs from having been blown away by wonderful tastes.

This girl right here has a sweet tooth and so when I heard about their new Alice In Wonderland themed menu I just had to add it to my birthday plans...

We were greated like royalty.. And offered a glass of champagne on arrival ... Haha how did they know? Who let it slip? I am a champagne enthusiast!!

This is one of the place that i always bring my visitors from overseas. While having a touristic tour around Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, China Town its a nice place to have snack, desert and drinks. The place is fronting Regent Street so its a good spot take a break indeed.
