The Albion is a Georgian gem left over from a time when Islington was fields and farmland, and where the regulars would take afternoon walks out of the city to visit us. We have a lovely garden which resembles places found in the South of France with the wisteria blooming and the willow creating a nice and relaxed atmosphere. In the back of the garden is an old barn which used to be a bar, and the rumour is that the Sex Pistols played their first concert in the barn. Inside, the log fires create a lovely atmosphere during the cold months, where you can wrap up and enjoy a drink or food both in our dining room and bar areas. We are frequented by regulars from our local area as well as their dogs. We happily provide both water and biscuits for visiting dogs and love to have them around. One of our specialities is a whole roast suckling pig with all the trimmings (buttered carrots and greens, roast potatoes, gravy and apple sauce).
