Overview

Itsu is a chain of Japanese restaurants that has emerged in recent times. The interior is very designer, with conveyor belts of sushi sliding past the glass shop front and little stools to perch on. The menu is a totally original mix of Japanese and European dishes. The plates are colour coded according to price. Itsu does not take reservations, but kindly asks their guests to entertain themselves in the bar area whilst waiting for a table.

When I need a quick sashimi fix, this place really hits the spot. I've been twice this week. And yes, it is only Tuesday!

The prices are quite reasonable. I got one of their larger to go sushi boxes that included five pieces of nigiri, five sushi rolls, plus a salad for £8.

The only thing that really annoys me is the way the tills are set up. Five are right in front of the place where...more

Duck Sushi Roll: less than £4 ... need I say more?

Delicious food for a cheap price -- plus, if you're counting calories, most info is written on the dishes themselves. Great soups, sushi and froyo! yay!

Super close to the tube, great on-the-gomore

I find it ironic that the types of chains found most in London are all the food genres that London manages to crap up the most. It's like they've bastardized us with their contagious nastiness.

Sushi is the most dangerous of the bunch, and the kamikaze of abundant sushi chains hurts my heart, and causes me to say things like "this is NOT sushi! This is just flabby old raw fish. Who wants to...more

Awful.

That pretty much sums it up. i've been in London for 6 months now but for some reason I just couldn't bring myself to eat here. My gut just kept saying 'nope. move it along. you don't want food from here.' I should have continutied to listen to my gut. Unfortunately, in stead of listening my gut, I had the cali roll and the Detox 7 veg. They were both bland.

I understand...more

My go-to for lunch every day. Very good for fast food, I think. Better than fatty sandwiches with mayonnaise from EAT.more
