Itsu
Overview
Itsu is a chain of Japanese restaurants that has emerged in recent times. The interior is very designer, with conveyor belts of sushi sliding past the glass shop front and little stools to perch on. The menu is a totally original mix of Japanese and European dishes. The plates are colour coded according to price. Itsu does not take reservations, but kindly asks their guests to entertain themselves in the bar area whilst waiting for a table.

The food was ok with a good price tag, great if you need to grab a quick bite or size up a first date and don't want to spend too much money on your date. The service was good, and they have 2 prices, 1 for sit down which is £2 more and then take out.
Overall, good for a quick bite.more
This is a close call between this and Wasabi, which is opposite. Itsu does similar foods, price is the same, the restaurant is bigger though, service is good, the quality of the food is first class. I enjoy the noodle soups, which are DELICIOUS. So you are lucky having the two of them in the same locality, ITSU does have seating out site, so during the summer its really nice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.more
I LOVE ITSU. "big smile, small tummy" decent portions for reasonable prices? does it get any better?
they have an assortment of noodle soups, rice bowls, and sushi platters. perfect for those cooler london days. and its healthy! during lunch time the place can get crowded but you chose and pick up what you want then pay. the whole proces is actually quite fast. however, if you do want a...more
It's January and in these straitened economic times, i think it makes sense to amend my calendar and simply call January, 'Soup' such is the need to detox the body, mind, spirit and wallet from the excesses of the preceding few weeks.
But I think that such a comment gives Itsu a disservice as, truth be told, Itsu is good all year round.
For a major chain, the food is surprisingly tasty....more
